UBC Social Media Brand Channel Summary Report
Evaluating social media strategies is vital. This report offers a snapshot of UBC’s efforts, analyzing engagement, reach, and effectiveness. Through data-driven insights, we highlight successes, identify areas for improvement, and refine our approach to better engage our diverse audience. UBC aims to strengthen its online presence and foster meaningful interactions on social platforms.
UBC Content Marketing Performance Report
Our goals this period were to increase brand visibility, enhance engagement, and drive traffic to “Beyond.” We achieved an 8% rise in site visits, a 4% increase in social engagement, and strong ROI from ads. AI-themed stories gained 1,150,007 impressions and 30,087 engagements. A standout piece on the Chinese Exclusion Act supported our inclusive marketing strategy.
Chinese Exclusion Act Anniversary; Satellite Event, Exhibit & Symposium Promotion
UBC worked to curate an exhibition at the Chinese Canadian Museum about the anniversary and sponsor three events: a June 23 satellite viewing at UBC Vancouver of a National Remembrance Event held in the Senate chambers in Ottawa, a June 26, 2023 discussion with the museum curator and a September national symposium to raise awareness of this dark chapter in Canadian history.
Digital Certificates & Badges
Digital certificates/badges offered by UBC faculties and Extended Learning required the creation of a hierarchical visual identity system. There is much recognition, credibility and equity in the UBC brand, and faculties benefit by leveraging a consistent look and feel in their digital certificates/badges. Concurrently, the design system and family of templates allows for flexibility for faculties
