In addition to creating broad connections across the university, the UBC Communications portfolio also leads several communities of practice:
- Internal Communications Working Group – meets monthly to share internal communications best practice and facilitate connection. Membership is limited to one senior communicator from each Faculty and Administrative Unit (including representation from UBCO). If you feel your role makes you eligible to join the group please email email@example.com.
- Communicators Update Meeting – meets weekly to ensure communications consistency, efficacy and insight across Faculties and Administrative Units on university-wide issues such as COVID-19, and responses to other broad community concerns as they arise. Membership is limited to one senior communicator from each Faculty and Administrative Unit. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to join us.
- The UBC Design Advisory Council consists of designers across both campuses who are dedicated to elevating the quality of design communications they create for their Faculty or Administrative Unit. We communicate regularly through our Slack channel, sharing ideas, inspiration and work-in-progress, as well as acknowledging and celebrating the design achievements of each other.
